The most common moths found in stored foods, feed and seed worldwide are the Indian meal moth, Mediterranean flour moth, almond moth and raisin moth. These insects occur almost everywhere, and are attracted by food. Eggs are laid on or near the food, such as in cracks and crevasses in shelving and cupboards. Adult moths emerge and fly about seeking mates.
